For three years, the R&D soft­ware engi­neer­ing team in Hamburg, Germany completely over­hauled the Neuroscan soft­ware, extract­ing and assess­ing func­tion­al­ity, culmi­nat­ing in the CURRY/Scan Neuroimag­ing Suite. This soft­ware, engi­neered on the Curry archi­tec­tural plat­form, inte­grates the SCAN soft­ware func­tion­al­ity, includ­ing data acqui­si­tion, into one modu­lar pack­age — CURRY 7. All of the crit­i­cal func­tion­al­ity of SCAN has been incor­po­rated into CURRY 7, plus many addi­tional features that were not possi­ble using the SCAN platform.
 
We are very excited about the advance­ments contained in Curry 7; but a writ­ten descrip­tion does not do justice to the new capa­bil­i­ties. We think you will be very impressed by the speed and ease of oper­a­tion that only a live demo can convey.
 
Compumedics Neuroscan will be conduct­ing monthly 45/15 minute question/answer webi­nars outlin­ing the func­tion­al­ity of Curry 7. The first webinar(s) in August will provide and overview of Curry 7 func­tion­al­ity. Subse­quent webi­nars will focus on topics listed below.

The Neuroscan School is a five-day course for individuals with moderate to advanced levels of expertise with Compumedics Neuroscan products and with a specific interest in simultaneous acquisition of EEG. Basic knowledge of data acquisition and experiment creation is assumed.

The school will be conducted in English by Compumedics Neuroscan’s staff.

CURRY Signal Processing (Days 2 and 3)

  • Data Base Organization
  • Acquisition parameters I
  • Acquisition parameters II
  • Analysis session I
  • Analysis session II
  • Multifile/Macro Processing
  • Basic Frequency Domain Analysis
  • Coherence Analysis
  • General discussion of issues

CURRY Source Analysis and multimodal integration (Days 4 and 5)

  • The last two days dipole modeling and source reconstruction using CURRY
  • Introduction to Source Analysis with CURRY
  • Analysis of Simulated Data and Epileptic Spike Data
  • Three Anatomical Data Sets and an Implanted ECoG Grid
  • fMRI-constrained Source Analysis
  • Combined MEG/EEG-Source Analysis
  • On Day 5, students are encouraged to bring their own data for analysis
